今週末は木曜日から土曜日まで３連戦でした。11月8日木曜日はEast LansingからNew Yoak州のOleanまでバスで移動して夕方から大会。
金曜日は朝からPennsylvania州のState Collegeに移動して、Penn StateとVirginiaとのTri-meetを二日間にわたって行いました。

まずはSt. Bonaventureとの大会結果。出場種目は1000Fr、200Frリレーの２種目でした。

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Michigan State women's divers Alycia Mokedanz and Danielle Williams set pool records and the Spartan men won 10 of 13 events as the MSU men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept St. Bonaventure Thursday night. The men's team won its dual, 152-89, while the women defeated the Bonnies, 130-112. The MSU women's team moves to 2-1 in dual competition, while the men are 1-1.

Mokedanz, a junior, posted a 273.23 in one-meter diving followed closely by fellow junior Williams at 272.33. Williams would later set a pool record of her own with a score of 316.95. The duo, coupled with a pair of third-place dives by junior Kayla Kalmbach, helped MSU to a 32-5 advantage in diving points. On the men's boards, sophomores Ivan Zalessov and David Garry placed first in the one- and three-meter, respectively.

Freshman kevin Puskaric registered first-place swims in the 200 IM (1:57.91) and 100 breast (58.00), while the Schmitt brothers, Adam and Joe, won the 500 and 50 free, respectively. Adam also placed second in the 100 breast behind Puskaric. Additionally, sophomore Marcus Poteete clocked a 55.01 in the 100 back and sophomore Matt Massman took first in the 100 free (48.27).

Along with its dominance in the diving portion of the meet, several other women's swimmer turned in noteworthy performances. Freshman Susie Monsell placed first in the 1,000 free (10:38.33) and another freshman, Alex Dockstader, won the 200 free with a time of 1:57.09. Heather Kiluk (200 IM) and Betsy DeJonge (50 free) also recorded first-place swims.

"Both teams did a nice job and we had some great performances," head coach Matt Gianiodis said. "As a group, we did a great job and there are many people that stood out. However, the competition gets tougher this weekend."

MSU continues its road swim with two triangular meets this weekend at Penn State. The Spartans will take on the host Nittany Lions and Virginia on Friday and Saturday.
